Block Party

As a New Yorker, one of my dreams was to organize a block party. In the summer of 2021, that dream came true, and now, it is an annual event!

After a challenging year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and tragically losing a number of our beloved neighbors to the virus, my neighbors and I wanted to come together as a community and celebrate the spirit of our historic block in Queens, Pauline LeBlond Way.

From communicating with our local Community Board to holding planning meetings on the stoop, I loved organizing the event with my fellow neighbors. And as the resident artist, I was tapped to create the poster for the event! It was surreal and so moving to see my artwork posted all over the block and shared throughout the neighbourhood I love.

Ridgewood Times reported on our block party again in 2022, and I was happy to speak with them about the event. You can read the article here
